ACUPRESSURE & NATURE THERAPY RESEARCH CENTRE is located in Vanasthali, Kathmandu. It was opened by Mr.Tara Basnet (Chief Therapist) & Kohinoor Ranjit (Assistant Therapist) in 1997. In the beginning it was named as 'Acupressure Therapy Center' & was situated in Teku, Kathmandu. It is one of the renowned centers of Acupressure in Nepal. Renowned in the sense that several National Daily & Weekly Newspapers had published news & views and Electronic-medias had transmitted interviews regarding Mr. Basnet`s devotion & success in the field of alternative therapeutics. (Some of the News and articles are attached in this website. Most of them are in the original & a few of them are translated.)

Being the premier institute in this field, the centre has made a very positive contribution to familiarize and popularize Acupressure in Nepal. It is due to the strenuous efforts of this institute and many other devoted and dedicated persons and institutions that Acupressure is now being considered as an effective method of healing for many minor and major ailments. Significantly, thousands of people suffering from different diseases belonging to all social/political strata(Laymen to Prime Minister) coming from different sectors and parts of Nepal & abroad have taken treatment at the centre during the last thirteen years to their great satisfaction.
It was indeed a unique experience for every one to get speedy cure without medicine for a number of chronic problems. A number of patients suffering from Acute tonsillitis, Gastroptosis, Chronic Gastritis, Headache, Migraine, Frozen Shoulder, Tennis Elbow, Sciatica, Low Back Pain, Osteoarthritis, Cervical Spondylosis, Legs-knees pain have got rid of their problems.
